Only a thin line of metal, about 1/8" wide, shows at the surface.

The trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg sets into the thin-set, and the 87° wall section carries point loads down to the substrate. Brass, aluminum, anodized and color-coated sizes over 1/4" have a built-in spacer for a 1/16" to 1/8" grout joint; with stainless, leave that gap when you set it. The textured color-coated and TRENDLINE finishes are rated for residential floors.

Solid brass takes heavy wear and darkens to a natural patina over time.
