Ultralight Quarter Round
Quarter round is the easiest way to hide the expansion gap between your floating floor and the baseboard — it sits in the corner, covers the gap, and can be removed later if you ever need to replace the floor without touching the baseboard paint.
- Profile: Quarter-round molding — small, unobtrusive profile that sits at the floor-wall junction and covers the required expansion gap
- Pre-primed: Paint it to match your baseboards for a seamless finish, or leave natural for a contrast look
- Important: Nail quarter round to the baseboard, NOT the floor — the floor needs to move freely underneath it
Pro Tip: Quarter round, shoe molding, and T-moldings should all be nailed to the wall or baseboard — never to the floating floor itself. If you pin them to the floor, you've just pinned a floating floor in place and it will buckle with seasonal movement. Ships from Canadian warehouses. Earn 3% back with YourFloors rewards.
