• T-cap: both floors are at the same height (use in interior doorways between same-level rooms)
• Reducer: one floor is higher than the other (use when transitioning to tile, different thickness vinyl, etc.)

Pro Tip: Pre-cut T-caps to door opening width before snapping into the track. Leave about 1/4" gap on each side to the door frame — transitions that butt tight to the frame look crowded and can cause the strip to buckle if the floor shifts seasonally.
