KERDI-BAND is a 5" wide strip of KERDI waterproofing membrane used to seal every joint, seam, and transition in a tiled wet area. If two membrane surfaces meet, KERDI-BAND goes over the joint. It's the most critical accessory in a Schluter waterproofing system.

• Same modified polyethylene core and polypropylene fleece as full KERDI membrane — 5" width provides the required 2" overlap onto each surface at joints
• Use at butt joints between membrane sheets, floor-to-wall transitions, inside corners, and around KERDI-BOARD panel seams
• Set in unmodified thin-set mortar — the fleece bonds on both sides to create a continuous, integral waterproof joint

Pro tip: Pre-fold strips for inside corners before applying thin-set — crease the band dry, then embed it. Trying to fold wet, mortar-covered band into a corner is a mess and usually results in a poor seal.
