The KERDI-BOARD-ZS are the coarse thread screws specified for mounting KERDI-BOARD panels to wood stud framing. Coarse thread grips wood better than fine thread and resists pull-out in the load conditions a shower wall sees.

Use with the KERDI-BOARD-ZT tab washers — the washers hold themselves in position via tabs that grip the panel face, so you can drive the screw without holding both pieces at once. A small detail that makes a big difference working overhead or in corners.

Pro Tip: If you're working in a bathroom where the studs are metal rather than wood, you'll need the KERDI-BOARD-ZS-S fine thread screws instead (for metal framing). Coarse thread into metal studs strips out quickly. Check your framing type before ordering. For wood framing — standard framing lumber, engineered lumber — the ZS coarse thread is correct and should be spaced 12" o.c. per Schluter's installation guidelines.
