Schluter® KERDI-DRAIN FLANGE KIT 2" PVC
The 2" PVC bonding flange for KERDI-DRAIN is your waterproof connection point between the drain body and the shower's membrane envelope. The large fleece-covered flange bonds directly into the same thin-set mortar as your KERDI or DITRA membrane — when the tile goes in, the drain and the membrane are a single waterproof system.
PVC with a 2" outlet is the most common configuration for Canadian residential shower construction. Most Canadian homes built in the last 40 years have 2" PVC shower drains — this flange connects directly to that existing pipe with solvent cement.
What's in the box
- KERDI-DRAIN flange body — 2" PVC with fleece-covered bonding flange
- Height adjustment collar
- Lateral adjustment ring — allows fine positioning after setting in mortar
- Assembly hardware
Grate sold separately
This is the drain body only. The grate assembly (what you see after tiling) is ordered separately — choose from Classic (stainless steel), Contour, Trendline (decorative), or Tileable (invisible) grate options in your preferred finish. This lets you mix and match: same drain body, different grate finishes in different bathrooms.

PVC vs. ABS vs. Stainless Steel drain bodies
- PVC (this product): Use when connecting to existing PVC pipe. Do not use PVC solvent cement with ABS pipe.
- ABS: Use when connecting to existing ABS pipe. ABS to ABS only.
- Stainless steel: No-hub mechanical coupling — connects to either PVC or ABS. Best for renovations where you're not sure what you have, or commercial applications. Uses KERDI-FIX instead of fleece bonding.
Pro tips
- Know your existing pipe material before ordering — mixing PVC cement with ABS pipe creates a weak bond that can fail over time.
- Set the drain height carefully before mortaring in. The top of the flange should sit at final tile height minus the height-adjustment collar's travel range. Test with your tile and trowel before committing.
- The lateral adjustment ring gives you about 1/2" of play after the flange is set — useful for centering in a mortar bed or KERDI-SHOWER-T tray.
- Overlap the KERDI membrane onto the fleece bonding flange a minimum of 2". This overlap is your waterproof connection at the most critical point in the shower.
Pairs with: KERDI-DRAIN Classic, Contour, Trendline, or Tileable grate assemblies. Compatible with KERDI, DITRA, and DITRA-XL waterproofing membranes.
