The standard KERDI-SHOWER-T tray has a raised perimeter that creates a natural curb height difference. That's useful for a traditional shower with a dam, but it works against you in a curbless design. • Bond to substrate with Schluter ALL-SET (wood subfloor) or SET (concrete slab)
• The reduced perimeter height means the adjacent bathroom floor must be carefully leveled to meet the tray edge — plan the height relationship between tray and bathroom floor in advance
• A Schluter SCHIENE or DILEX-AHK transition profile at the shower entry manages the floor-to-shower junction cleanly

Pro Tips

• A proper curbless shower requires planning at the rough-in stage. The drain needs to be lower than the bathroom floor — typically the shower floor is set 1/2" to 3/4" lower than the adjacent tile. Do this math before framing and plumbing are done, not after.
• Use a linear drain tray (KERDI-SHOWER-LT) if you want large-format tile. The TT tray uses a center drain, which requires a four-way slope. For 12×24" or larger tiles, the linear drain with single-plane slope is much cleaner.
• The shower entry needs a defined transition. Without a curb to stop water, the slope of the shower floor and the entry threshold profile do the work. A SCHLUTER-DILEX-AHK cove profile at the entry gives water a clear path inward and protects the tile edge at the threshold.
• Frameless glass is the natural partner. Curbless showers look best with frameless glass — no curb, no frame, just glass and tile. Plan the glass rough opening around your tray size and the transition profile thickness.
