No niche required. SHELF-W is a wall-mounted rectangular shelf that installs directly into tiled walls using its perforated anchor legs — you tile over the legs, and the shelf projects cleanly from the wall surface.

SHELF-W vs. SHELF-N: This is the key question. If you have (or are building) a KERDI-BOARD-SN niche, get SHELF-N. If you just want a shelf on an existing tiled wall without cutting into the wall, SHELF-W is your product. The anchor legs get embedded in the tile adhesive, so it installs at the same time as your tile.

Placement flexibility: Because it doesn't require a niche, SHELF-W can go anywhere on the tiled surface — at any height, on any wall, even in multiple spots. Great for retrofitting storage into an already-tiled shower on a renovation.

Pro Tip: Install SHELF-W when setting tile, not after. The anchor legs need to sit in the adhesive layer. If you try to add it to an existing finished tile job, you're looking at chipping grout and re-grouting around the legs. Do it right the first time.
