KERDI-BAND is the seam tape of waterproofing — a strip of KERDI membrane that seals joints between membrane sections, floor/wall transitions, and connections between different Schluter system components. The 10" width is the widest format, giving maximum overlap on wider butt joints and especially on floor-to-wall transitions where a wider strip provides better coverage.

Embed it in thin-set like the main membrane — bond to both surfaces the joint covers, press flat, eliminate air bubbles. Done.

Pro Tip: Use 10" KERDI-BAND at your floor-to-wall connection (the most critical joint in any shower) and wherever KERDI-BOARD panels meet each other at seams. The wider strip gives you more working room if your joints aren't perfectly tight. For smaller details and pipe penetrations, the 5" or 7-1/4" bands are the right choice. Don't try to substitute regular KERDI strip — KERDI-BAND is sold by the roll and is cheaper than cutting the main membrane.
