KERDI-FLEX is Schluter's specialized expansion joint cover for tile installations — a 5-foot strip that bridges structural and expansion joints while maintaining waterproofing integrity.

Made from the same modified polyethylene as KERDI but engineered for greater flexibility, KERDI-FLEX accommodates movement at joints where the substrate shifts, expands, or contracts. The center section can be tucked into the joint cavity for even greater movement capability.

Pro Tip: Never tile over an expansion joint without KERDI-FLEX or a proper movement joint. Tile is rigid — if the building moves and the tile can't flex, you get cracked tiles and broken grout. KERDI-FLEX absorbs the movement so your tile doesn't have to.
