Description
Pressure-sensitive adhesive is what makes peel-and-stick tile and LVT installation practical — the adhesive stays tacky without hardening, allowing repositioning during layout and providing a permanent bond once traffic loads it. Mapei ECO-373 PSA is the professional-grade version: more consistent grab than consumer peel-and-stick options, lower VOC emissions, and formulated to stay workable through an actual job-site day.
- 1 gallon covers approximately 150–200 sq ft depending on substrate porosity and application rate
- Pressure-sensitive formula stays open after application — position tiles, adjust, then apply pressure to bond
- Water-based, low-VOC — safer for installers and occupants during and after installation
Pro Tip: Apply ECO-373 with a 1/16" V-notch trowel and let it flash off (become tacky) before placing tile — usually 15–30 minutes. If you place tile into wet adhesive, you lose the positioning advantage and the tile can slide. Flash time varies with temperature and humidity: in cold Canadian conditions, it can take longer. Touch-test before you place.
