Wide plank format (wider boards = fewer seams = more visible grain = more impressive appearance), real engineered oak construction, and a finish that holds up to real coastal living.
Pro Tip: Wide plank engineered hardwood performs best when installed over a subfloor with good lateral stiffness — if your subfloor deflects or bounces, wide planks will telegraph it clearly. For wood subfloors, add a layer of 1/4" plywood over the existing subfloor if there's any flex or squeakiness. For concrete, glue-down is the most stable method for wide planks.
