If you're fastening KERDI-BOARD to wood stud framing, these are the screws for the job. The 1-5/8" coarse thread grips wood studs firmly and works with the matching tab washers (KERDI-BOARD-ZT) to pull the panel tight without cracking or crushing it.

Pro Tip: Always pair these with the KERDI-BOARD-ZT tab washers. The tabs grip the panel surface and hold everything in position while you drive the screw — no fumbling, no slipping. Space fasteners 12" o.c. vertically and horizontally (or match your stud layout) for a solid substrate that won't flex when tile is applied.
