Glue-down vinyl plank gets a bad reputation — people assume it's a pain to install and a nightmare to remove. In the right application, it's actually the most stable floor you can put down, and Lighthouse Oak is exactly the kind of product that earns that reputation back.
The Lighthouse Oak colorway is a medium-warm grey-brown — it reads as authentic bleached oak without going full-coastal-cliché. At 7" wide and 48" long, the plank scale is satisfying in larger rooms. The 51.33 sq ft per box means fewer boxes to track and less waste math on bigger projects.
Glue-down is the right choice if you're going over radiant heat, installing in a high-traffic commercial space, or putting flooring in a room where a floating floor would squeak or flex. It eliminates movement entirely — once it's down, it's down.
Pro Tip: Glue-down vinyl requires a flat, clean, dry subfloor — this isn't forgiving like a floating click system. Skim coat any dips over 3/16" per 10 ft before you start. Also: check that your adhesive is compatible with radiant heat if applicable, and let the planks acclimate in the room for 24–48 hours before installation. Temperature and moisture during install affect long-term bond strength more than most people realize.
