Description
Doing a whole main floor in real oak? This is a full overstock lot of Pindar Floors Valor engineered hardwood in Virgil: about 2,080 sq ft for $5,950, which works out to roughly $2.86 per square foot.
Virgil is a smoky grey-brown stain on oak, wire-brushed so the open grain and cathedral figure read as darker pores under a matte finish. You can feel the texture underfoot. The planks are 7.5" wide in random lengths up to 6', so the floor runs long and open with fewer seams than narrow strip flooring.
It's engineered, not solid: a real oak top layer bonded to a layered plywood core, 1/2" thick overall. That build is what keeps engineered planks flatter and more stable than solid hardwood through seasonal humidity swings. The cartons are labelled CARB 93120 Phase II and EPA TSCA Title VI compliant for formaldehyde emissions.
Need less than 2,080 sq ft? Lay what you need and keep the extra boxes as matching spares for repairs or the next room.
