The Piranha PAVBDB HEX 3/16" coring bit is part of Piranha's second-generation PAVBDB HEX series, built with vacuum-brazed synthetic diamond technology for a strong, reliable bond between the diamonds and the bit and consistent cutting across a wide range of materials. The hexagonal shaft was added to this generation for direct use in a standard drill chuck, making it ideal for precise small-diameter coring in porcelain, natural stone, and similar hard surfaces. It works for both dry and wet coring; because this is a small-diameter (sub-12mm) bit, a water feed is recommended to maximize bit life and cut quality. A variable-speed tool is recommended so speed can be matched to the density of the material being drilled.
