Schluter® DITRA-HEAT-PS SHEET 3'3" X 2'7" = 8.4 SF
- Simply remove the transparent release film from the fleece side of the membrane to expose the layer of adhesive, and embed into substrate
- No thin-set required to install membrane means a faster and easier installation
- The membrane can easily be repositioned until pressure is exerted
- Less mess, less cleanup, and fewer tools required
- The stud structure of DITRA-HEAT-PS is specifically designed to allow for the easy installation of DITRA-HEAT-HK heating cables
Description
Description
Everything DITRA-HEAT does — uncoupling, waterproofing, vapor management, and heated floor cable channels — in a single 8.4 SF peel-and-stick sheet. No thin-set, no trowel, no waiting. Clean the concrete substrate, peel the release film, press it down, and you're ready to snap cables in.
The sheet format exists because most heated floor projects don't divide evenly into roll widths. Every installation has corners, nooks, and odd dimensions. Buying the right-sized sheet for those areas is cleaner and less wasteful than unrolling a 134.5 SF roll to get 8 square feet of coverage.
DITRA-HEAT-PS vs. standard DITRA-HEAT — what's different?
Functionally identical — same stud channels that accept DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cables, same uncoupling performance, same waterproofing. The PS (peel-and-stick) version bonds via pressure-sensitive adhesive instead of mortar. The trade-off: faster installation on concrete, but not suitable for wood subfloors. For plywood or OSB, you need standard DITRA-HEAT with Schluter ALL-SET mortar.
When to use this sheet vs. the roll
- Use the sheet for small areas (powder rooms, entries, laundry alcoves), fill pieces at room edges, or any heated floor project under ~20 SF.
- Use the roll for full bathroom, kitchen, or open-plan installations. The roll works out to a lower cost per square foot.
Cable installation
Snap DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cables into the channels at standard 3-stud spacing. No clips. No self-leveling compound. Tile with Schluter SET (unmodified) mortar immediately after cables are in and tested — no cure wait required for the membrane itself.
Pro Tip
This sheet is ideal for the fill space between the last full row of membrane and the wall. Rather than awkwardly folding a roll edge into that gap, cut a sheet to size. DITRA-HEAT sheets butt edge-to-edge with rolls without any special transition treatment — just keep the stud pattern aligned so cables run continuously across both pieces.
Who should buy this
Anyone doing a heated floor installation who needs a fill piece, a small standalone area, or wants to avoid wasting roll footage on a tight square footage project. Also ideal for testing your technique on a small area before committing a full roll to a large floor.
Pairs with
- DITRA-HEAT-PS ROLL (for the main field — use sheets as fill)
- DITRA-HEAT-E-HK heating cables (120V or 240V)
- Any Schluter thermostat (E-R, E-RT, E-WiFi, E-RS1)
- Schluter SET unmodified mortar for tiling over the membrane

How DITRA-HEAT Works in 4 Steps
1. Install the membrane
Bond DITRA-HEAT to your substrate with unmodified thinset. Works over concrete, plywood, or OSB subfloors.
2. Snap in the cable
Run the DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cable between the studs at 3″ spacing. No mesh, no staples, no plywood overlay.
3. Tile right over it
Apply thinset and set tile, stone, or LVT directly on the studs. The membrane stays as your waterproof, uncoupled layer.
4. Set your thermostat
Wire the included floor sensor to any DITRA-HEAT thermostat — basic, touchscreen, or WiFi smart — and you’re heating.
