Description
Description
KERDI-BOARD replaces cement board in shower walls and wet areas — it's lighter, cuts with a utility knife, and is genuinely waterproof, not just moisture-resistant. This 1/2" panel is the standard thickness for 16" on-center stud framing.
- Extruded polystyrene (XPS) foam core with reinforced fleece surfaces for direct thin-set tile bonding — fully waterproof through the entire panel, not just surface-treated
- Weighs roughly 1/5 of cement board, cuts clean with no dust, and installs with screws and KERDI-BAND at joints
- 12" x 48" panel size — ideal for smaller wall sections, niches, and areas where a full 32" x 48" sheet would require cutting
Pro tip: Seal all panel joints and screw penetrations with KERDI-BAND set in unmodified thin-set. The board itself is waterproof, but the joints won't be unless you tape them properly.
