Description
A pre-fabricated recessed shower niche made from waterproof KERDI-BOARD — tile-ready out of the box with no custom waterproofing needed. Set it between studs, seal the flanges with KERDI-BAND, and tile right over it.
- Extruded polystyrene (XPS) construction — the niche itself is waterproof through the entire material, not just surface-coated
- 2" bonding flanges on all four sides integrate directly into your KERDI or KERDI-BOARD wall assembly using KERDI-BAND set in thin-set
- Designed to fit between standard 16" on-center studs — available in multiple sizes for different storage needs
Pro tip: Frame the niche opening before waterproofing the surrounding wall. The flanges overlap onto the wall membrane, creating a continuous waterproof envelope. Don't try to retrofit one after tiling — plan it from the start.
