Wherever KERDI-BOARD panels butt together in areas that don't need full waterproofing — interior partition walls, dry areas adjacent to a tiled zone — the KERDI-BOARD-ZSA joint tape provides reinforcement at the seam so the joint stays tight under movement and doesn't telegraph through the tile finish.
This adhesive tape is specifically for non-waterproofed panel joints. In wet areas (inside the shower), you need KERDI-BAND embedded in thin-set — not this tape. Know the difference before you start.
Pro Tip: KERDI-BOARD is increasingly used as a substrate outside the shower too — for tiled wainscoting, bathroom wall panels, and even dry-area tile projects where you want a dimensionally stable, tile-ready substrate. In those applications, ZSA joint tape handles the seams cleanly without the full waterproofing assembly. The 148' roll is plenty for a large project; store the remainder in a dry place and the adhesive lasts for years.
