Retrofitting KERDI waterproofing onto an existing shower drain doesn't have to mean a full demo. The KERDI-DRAIN-A adaptor flange installs directly over most standard clamping ring drains, converting them to accept KERDI waterproofing membrane.
The flange creates the bonding surface that KERDI membrane integrates with — sealing the transition between drain and membrane, which is the most leak-prone spot in any shower.
Flange-only kit: This version doesn't include a grate — useful if you're using a tileable grate option, matching an existing grate finish, or ordering the cover separately to match your tile.
Pro Tip: When tiling over the grate area, use a tileable grate insert instead of a standard grate finish — it completely disappears into the floor. Schluter makes tileable grate options that pair with this adaptor system.
