Description
Description
RENO-U is a sloped transition, about 25°, from tile down to a lower floor such as VCT, or to finished concrete. The leading edge butts against the lower floor for a smooth step down.
Anchor it in the thin-set with the trapezoid-perforated leg and fill the cavity under the slope. Aluminum versions have a built-in spacer; with stainless, leave a 1/16" to 1/8" joint. Allow for the thickness of any membrane when choosing the height. ADA compliance depends on the size and on whether the profile butts against or rests on the lower floor; check Schluter's table for your height.
Anodized aluminum gives an even metallic finish for indoor work. It is not color-stable outdoors and the face can scratch, so wipe mortar and grout off the visible surface right away.
Each length is 8' 2-1/2" (2.5 m).
