Description
SCHIENE protects the edge of floor tile where it stops against carpet, at a movement joint, or on a stair edge. Only a thin line of metal, about 1/8" wide, shows at the surface.
The trapezoid-perforated anchoring leg sets into the thin-set, and the 87° wall section carries point loads down to the substrate. Brass, aluminum, anodized and color-coated sizes over 1/4" have a built-in spacer for a 1/16" to 1/8" grout joint; with stainless, leave that gap when you set it. The textured color-coated and TRENDLINE finishes are rated for residential floors.
Anodized aluminum gives an even metallic finish for indoor work. It is not color-stable outdoors and the face can scratch, so wipe mortar and grout off the visible surface right away.
Each length is 8' 2-1/2" (2.5 m).
