Description
SCHIENE-STEP finishes the front edge of tiled stairs and countertops. The top of the profile protects the tile edge, and its ribbed 1-1/2" (39 mm) vertical leg covers the edge of the countertop build-up or the top of the riser.
It anchors in the thin-set with a trapezoid-perforated leg. The anodized aluminum version has a built-in spacer and is meant for residential stairs without heavy traffic. The brushed stainless version is Schluter's countertop version; leave a 1/16" to 1/8" joint when you set it.
Anodized aluminum gives an even metallic finish for indoor work. It is not color-stable outdoors and the face can scratch, so wipe mortar and grout off the visible surface right away.
Each length is 8' 2-1/2" (2.5 m).
