Description
Description
The 120V DITRA-HEAT cable is the right call for smaller heated floor areas where you already have a 120V circuit nearby. Same zero-EMF twisted-pair construction and snap-in installation as the 240V version, just sized for a lighter electrical load.
- Twin-conductor design snaps directly into DITRA-HEAT and DITRA-HEAT-DUO membranes — no clips, staples, or self-leveling compound needed
- Delivers ~11W per sq ft at standard spacing — practical for bathrooms, ensuites, and small mudrooms up to about 150 sq ft on a single 15A circuit
- Works with all DITRA-HEAT thermostats (E-R, E-RT, E-WiFi, E-RS1) — each thermostat includes a built-in GFCI as required by code
Pro tip: If your heated area exceeds 120 sq ft, price out a 240V circuit instead — the wire gauge is smaller, the cable costs are similar, and you'll have room to expand the system later.

120V vs 240V — What’s the difference?
* Coverage values are from Schluter’s official product specifications at standard 3” cable spacing in DITRA-HEAT membrane. When multiple cables are required, each cable must be on its own thermostat circuit. Confirm sizing with a licensed electrician before purchasing.

How DITRA-HEAT Works in 4 Steps
1. Install the membrane
Bond DITRA-HEAT to your substrate with unmodified thinset. Works over concrete, plywood, or OSB subfloors.
2. Snap in the cable
Run the DITRA-HEAT-E-HK cable between the studs at 3″ spacing. No mesh, no staples, no plywood overlay.
3. Tile right over it
Apply thinset and set tile, stone, or LVT directly on the studs. The membrane stays as your waterproof, uncoupled layer.
4. Set your thermostat
Wire the included floor sensor to any DITRA-HEAT thermostat — basic, touchscreen, or WiFi smart — and you’re heating.
